Today, Barcelona and surrounding areas have been hit with fresh floods, causing the Civil Protection to send an ’extreme danger’ red alert to all residents in the Baix Llobregat and Barcelonès areas warning of torrential rains.

Barcelona's El Prat airport is being flooded by heavy rain in Catalonia on Monday, with flights being cancelled or diverted as passengers avoid the water streaming in from the roof and push their suitcases around the slippery terminals.
