A 48-year-old man was found dead Tuesday after police and fire responded for reported burn injuries, according to police.

An approximately 1-mile stretch of Center Street reopened Thursday morning after a closure that lasted nearly 24 hours.

Power is out in the immediate area, and Center Street is expected to remain closed for several hours as utility crews repair the damaged poles and restore service.

The crash happened on Wednesday morning near 901 Center Street by WD Matthews and K&R Auto.
