Shubman Gill etched his name in history by scoring a magnificent double century against England at Edgbaston, becoming only the third Indian to achieve this feat in England and the first Indian captain to do so on English soil.

Shubman Gill broke Virat Kohli's record for the highest individual score by an Indian captain in Tests. Gill has broken multiple records en route to his 250 against England.

Teaming up with Ravindra Jadeja, he stitched together an unbeaten century stand that put India firmly in control, with the score at 387/5 in the first innings, Gill’s unbeaten 150 became his highest Test score and also saw him break a major record previously held by Virat Kohli.
