Benchmark 10-year U.S. Treasury yields registered their biggest weekly rise in more than two decades on Friday, while the dollar fell, in a turbulent week marked by the trade war and a loss of appetite for some U.S. assets.

While Trump has paused his whopping 46 percent tariff on Vietnam, economists say the export-reliant country still faces painful decisions.

In recent years Vietnam has forged strategic and economic links with the United States, its former foe, making the steep tariff rate all the more of a shock.
