Queen Camilla has pulled out of a number of scheduled engagement this week due a chest infection, Buckingham Palace has said. No further details regarding her illness or treatment have been released but she is understood to be resting at home under doctors' supervision.

It's understood that Queen Camilla will not attend the commemoration as she is sick with a chest infection, and has been advised by doctors to take a short period of rest.

Her Majesty, 77, is now set to take a “short period of rest” as advised by doctors, as she remains at home under the watchful eye of doctors.

The Queen has been forced to withdraw from her engagements and is resting at home after being diagnosed with a chest infection. Chest infections - an infection of the lungs or large airways - are common, especially after a cold or flu during autumn and winter.
