The Forest Fire Service is also currently battling a 360-acre wildfire in Burlington and Camden counties that's 75% contained, a 133-acre wildfire in the Glassboro Wildlife Management Area in Gloucester County that's 50% contained, and a 350-acre wildfire in Ocean County's Jackson Township that's 80% contained.

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. -- Another wildfire broke out in New Jersey overnight and it is impacting traffic on the Palisades Parkway. The smoke and flames can even be seen from the New York side of the Hudson River, as crews work to get the fire under control.

Firefighters in New Jersey were stretched even thinner on Friday when another wildfire broke out in the state’s bone-dry conditions. At least four wildfires were burning in the state, stretching from the Pinelands in the central and western parts of the state to the New York City suburbs.
