OMEGA has just released its latest space-inspired watch, the Speedmaster Moonphase Meteorite. Available in two different colours and finishes, the OMEGA Speedmaster Moonphase Meteorite puts the moon on your wrist, with its textured iron meteor material and lunar cycles display.

While the white-dialed Speedmaster and the Speedmaster Pilot releases of last year would’ve been plenty to tide us over for a while, the brand’s hot streak continues with a pair of Speedmaster Moonphase Meteorite.

The Speedy is beloved by practically everyone, which is why Omega today offers so many variations of the watch beyond the classic Moonwatch. There are vintage-inspired Speedys, pilot Speedys, racing Speedys, diamond-set Speedys, a chiming Speedy … you get the idea.

The 43mm stainless steel OMEGA Speedmaster Moonphase Meteorite features the brand's first dual hemisphere moonphase display.

Both models are fitted with a polished and brushed bracelet featuring OMEGA’s patented comfort release adjustment system. The two new Speedmaster Moonphase Meteorite watches are available via OMEGA, each priced at $17,100 USD.

These are 43mm diameter watches, and core parts of the finish are made of actual meteorite. The face backing is iron meteorite, while the moons in the phase indicator at the six o’ clock mark are slices of lunar meteorite cabochon gemstones.

Given this definition, it is fair to say that Omega is always holding space for space itself. The Swiss horology marque is constantly encouraging us to hold space on our wrists for its latest odes to the cosmos, something it has done since it became the first watch on the moon in 1969.

Omega has created a northern and southern hemisphere moonphase complication for a pair of meteorite dialled Speedmaster chronographs that launch today. The brand will forever be associated with the first manned moon landing in 1969 and decades of space exploration as a supplier of precision timekeepers for NASA missions.
