A small earthquake rocked parts of New Jersey on Tuesday — the second to be felt in the region in just a matter of days.

A small earthquake rattled the New York City area Saturday night, according to the the U.S. Geological Survey.

North Jersey was shaken up again Aug. 5 when an afternoon 2.7 magnitude earthquake hit Bergen County, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The epicenter was near Hillsdale, the government agency said, and the quake occurred at 12:11 p.m.
