Some Middle Tennessee students will have long weekends as school districts continue to cancel Friday classes amid the ongoing threat of severe weather and flooding. Cheatham and Robertson County Schools were the first to announce Friday closures on Thursday afternoon.

With the threat of severe storms and flooding throughout the region, Middle Tennessee schools are canceling classes Thursday. Cheatham County Schools was among the first to close. The district said in a release that all extra-curricular activities and extended daycare will also be canceled.
