Netflix is hosting the special two-day event in North America over the Aug. 22-24 weekend. The singalong will also play in theaters in the U.K., Australia and New Zealand.

But it seems like the powers that be weren't completely prepared for the movie's instant popularity, because KPop Demon Hunters merch has been slow to roll out. However that's all about to change, because the movie has a branded collab with an iconic food brand and it all makes so much sense.

KPop Demon Hunters requires an additional week to surpass Red Notice and claim the top spot as the most-viewed English film on Netflix. In contrast, the second week of Wednesday Season 2 Part 1 experienced a significant decline.

That journey has been a quick ride to the top. The PG-rated animated film about a K-pop girl group that uses songs and swords to save the world hit Netflix June 20 and almost immediately soared to the streamer's Top 10.
