"Operation Dirty Pond" is a public corruption probe launched in November 2022 by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office which led to the raiding of Huntington Park City Hall and the home of Mayor Karina Macias.

The district attorney’s probe follows a lawsuit alleging officials colluded with a consulting firm to use city coffers as their “personal piggy bank.”

Investigators with the District Attorney's Office served a series of search warrants at Huntington Park City Hall as part of a probe into possible misuse of public funds tied to an aquatics center construction project.
