As a winter storms works its way toward Hampton Roads, local leaders have announced cancellations for weekend activities. Much of the region is under a winter storm warning through Saturday morning. The forecast calls for 2 to 4 inches of snow.

Hampton Roads Transit will reduce services due to winter weather. On Saturday, Jan. 11, snow routes will go into effect. HRT will operate on limited, hourly bus service while the Tide light rail and Elizabeth River Ferry will run every 30 minutes from 10 a.

The winter storm blowing across Virginia is causing some delays and cancellations in Hampton Roads. CNU will open at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. City offices, libraries, community centers and courts will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
