The FDA reports the recalled shrimp product appears to have been prepared, packed or held under unsanitary conditions, where it may have become contaminated with the Cesium-137.

The Food and Drug Administration issued a recall for Great Value brand shrimp on Tuesday, after Customs & Border Protection detected Cesium-137 in a shipment of breaded shrimp.

The advisory applies to 2-pound Great Value bags of white vannamei shrimp, all carrying a best-by date of March 15, 2027.
