Costco is one of the few national retailers that won't be open on the Fourth of July. It will close all stores on July 4. Trader Joe's stores will open on July 4 but all stores will close at 5 p.m.

As neighborhoods gather for block parties and fireworks for the Fourth of July holiday, many businesses will be closed to all employees to celebrate the birth of the nation, but not all. Some will still be open for last-minute items.

Two people were shot early Thursday in Miami, police confirmed at the scene. It happened near Northwest 11th Street and 23rd Court at around 12:40 a.m., according to Miami police. Officers found a woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the stomach.
