Earl Bennett, 40, faces three counts of second-degree murder after he allegedly shot and killed three people inside a tent at a Minneapolis encampment.

A man has been charged after he shot and killed three people at a homeless encampment in Minneapolis in October.

Authorities have identified by the man shot and injured by St. Paul police Monday evening as 40-year-old Earl Bennett. In a statement around noon Tuesday, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said Bennett remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition at Regions Hospital.
