Running back Dylan Sampson rewrote the Tennessee football history books on Saturday with a huge performance in a win over Kentucky on Saturday.

Sampson has had an awesome season so far with four games remaining on the schedule. He has been the leading touchdown candidate in the SEC for rushing as he had 17 entering this contest. That was just one short of being tied with Gene McEver who had 18 rushing touchdowns in 1929.

Dylan Sampson was phenomenal today. With less than five minutes remaining, Iamaleava designed a 91-yard drive after the Vols’ defense compelled a Kentucky punt, and Sampson completed it through a 7-yard run involving him pushing the Wildcats’ defense into the end zone.
