David Corenswet isn't a household name just yet, but he likely will be after the weekend of July 11. His new film Superman is set to hit theaters this week as the American actor plays the titular character.

Corenswet portrays the iconic Clark Kent in the upcoming Superman film, due in theaters Friday. The feature is directed by James Gunn ( Guardians of the Galaxy) and also stars Rachel Brosnahan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Edi Gathegi and Nicholas Hoult .

David Corenswet recently discussed who he wants his Superman to meet and team up with in the DC Universe in a recent interview. Releasing in July 2025, Superman will not only serve as the first film of the sprawling superhero cinematic universe but also Corenswet’s debut in the genre.
