The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning (bright red) and a Winter Weather Advisory (dark red) for the area due to difficult travel.
Snow is forecast to start in Denver as early as 5 a.m. Thursday and continue until as late as 10 a.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
As of Thursday afternoon, Steamboat resort has recorded approximately 1' of powder on their summit stake, with over 5" at Vail. Several more inches will fall through tonight, making for a powder day on Friday and a solid skiing weekend.
