MINNEAPOLIS — Alex Pretti, the intensive care nurse killed by federal agents last weekend, was swarmed and tackled by officers in another encounter 11 days earlier, according to footage obtained by the Minnesota Star Tribune.

After Pretti was fatally shot by U.S. Border Patrol agents, his family and friends said he became the target of a smear campaign.

The parents of Alex Pretti have retained a former federal prosecutor who helped Minnesota’s attorney general convict the police officer who kneeled on George Floyd’s neck of murder.
