Asian stocks started the week with gains ahead of central bank policy meetings in the United States and Japan, after a broad rally on Wall Street that capped a tumultuous week.

Since 2024 began, 12 prominent businesses have announced a stock split -- only one of which has been of the reverse-split variety. However, the value proposition for these one dozen stock-split stocks differs quite a bit.

Wall Street’s split widened Thursday, as smaller stocks and other formerly downtrodden areas of the market rose up while superstar Big Tech stocks gave back more of their stellar gains.

Wall Street rallied following encouraging reports on inflation and on strong profits at 3M and other big U.S. companies.
