Can't Type In Windows 10 Settings, Store, and related apps

However, whenever I open up Windows settings, Cortana, or Windows 10 games like Sea of Thieves (have to play with a controller to actually move because my keyboard input isn't recognized), I can no longer type or search freely and have to depend on my mouse cursor to select things.
